Methods to improve effective speaking through study of pronunciation, diction, voice usage, and vocabulary. Through extemporaneous and other speeches, efforts will be made to improve confidence, organization of ideas, and effective deliver. A comprehensive overview of the processes of interviewing and interrogation. Students will be introduced to a variety of interview and interrogation techniques and strategies. The course will cover interviewing and interrogation of witnesses, victims, suspects and children. Students will perform mock interviews and interrogations to demonstrate their understanding of the course materials presented. Legal and ethical considerations involved will also be discussed.
