FRE* E102 - Elementary French II (3 credits) Code(s): HUM, SOPX Prerequisite(s): Either a foreign language placement test, FRE* E101 , or permission of instructor is required. Students who place outside of the designated range for this class will not be permitted to take this course for credit. A continuation of FRE* E101 , this course is for students who have taken either FRE* E101 or one year of high school French. This course continues to cover the basic grammar patterns of the French language and builds competence in all fours skill areas: reading, writing, listening, and speaking at a basic level (personal information, immediate needs, survival skills, repeated utterances). The student will gain exposure to a broad range of vocabulary, grammar patterns, and major tenses. Through varied class activities such as group work, skits, role-play situations, oral presentations, oral proficiency and communication shall be emphasized. Course Outline: FRE 102
