COM* E202 - Intercultural Communications (3 credits)

An introduction to the field of intercultural communication. This course studies the intersection of culture and communication. It is designed to increase awareness of the cultural self and to help develop competency in communicating across cultural lines. Examining how cultural values impact written spoken, and non-verbal communication styles will provide various ways of thinking about cultural identity. Cultural priviledge and power will be explored as well as strategies to mediate intercultural conflict.
