PSY* E202 - Child Psychology & Development (3 credits) Elective Code: BHEL Prerequisite(s): PSY* E111 or permission of the instructor Presents a study of human development from conception to adolescence. Students are guided in the development of a scientific and objective attitude toward the interpretation of child behavior. They observe children and analyze their behavior in each of the following areas: motor, social, language, and emotional development. Other areas studied include methods of child study, the interacting influences of heredity and environment, the prenatal period, the neonate, physical growth, mental development, learning and personality.
